Officials are known to collude with contractors to abandon projects after collecting mobilization fees, even as there is a lot of secrecy surrounding the process.

6) BUREAU OF PUBLIC PROCUREMENT
This platform is really important for any journalist reporting on Nigeria’s public procurement process. It has the Public Procurement Act with which you can hold officials to account. It also contains other information about federal procurements in Nigeria.
But more importantly, the site has a database of contracts awarded by the Federal Executive Council, including contract sums. You can also find a few of the FEC-awarded contracts here.
